Principles

As funding becomes tighter, investment decisions have to be based on sound evidence, and interventions must be able to demonstrate that they are delivering where needed most, with priorities increasingly being set by social, economic and environmental values.

PBRS ensures value added results by identifying synergies between economic, social and environmental needs and opportunities, strategies and investments. It also enables cross-sectoral working, thinking and understanding among representatives of the three sectors - thus, PBRS is also a tool for holistic partnership development and intervention.

PBRS's ethos is that intervention or investment values will arise through two principle criteria:

1. The economic, social and environmental quality and cross functionality of a site, woodland or other area are considered as the predominant driver, and
2. Such quality and cross functionality can only be delivered via holistic (economic, social and environmental) Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
