Quality
The PBRS does much more than assess and identify the most viable brownfield sites. Involving economic, social and environmental stakeholders ensures that data included in the PBRS is the best available.
By synthesising this wide range of robust GIS data layers, PBRS helps to identify the true character of individual sites and geographic areas, and in so doing gives a clear indication of the most pertinent regeneration themes or intervention priorities within that locale.
These themes or priorities respond to those issues that are most important to a particular community or development area, highlighting the specific locations most likely to benefit socially, economically and environmentally from that intervention. By applying these themes to design, development and management plans PBRS can assist in taking regeneration and environmental / greenspace intervention from simply being 'quality' schemes to becoming exemplary.
