PBRS I - Economic
One of the objectives of establishing urban and community woodland is to encourage increased investment in areas of economic blight and high unemployment, by providing an inspiring landscape setting for investment. Woodlands can also provide screening to housing areas located near large industrial activities or unsightly business parks.
The PBRS attributes within the DUN survey's economic benefit category specifically measured:
1. Current economic climate of the area surrounding the site, by virtue of local house prices.
2. Proximity of the site to existing and proposed business parks and industrial areas.
3. Proximity of the site to retail developments.
4. Proximity to main transport corridors.
