PBRS I - Access

Although not one of the three pillars of sustainability (i.e. social, economic and environmental attributes) it was felt, after consultation, that public access was a key contributory factor in community woodland development, and should be included within the DUN survey?s PBRS analysis.

The following attributes were used to score benefits in the public access category:

1. Proximity to a Public Right of Way

2. Proximity to public transport

3. Proximity to a cycleway or bridleway

4. Proximity to a primary road

5. Proximity to other public open space
